Medical pluralism and homeopathy in India and Germany (1810-2010): Practices in a comparative perspective
Resumo
The issue around whether there is a “new” variety of medical pluralism is quite recent.
To discuss it, restricted to the German and Indian settings, a conference was carried out
in 2011 at the Institute for the History of Medicine of the Robert Bosch Foundation,
Stuttgart, Germany. A multidisciplinary approach was selected: participants included
practicing homeopathic physicians, historians, anthropologists and philosophers. This
articles summarizes the individual presentations and the conclusions reached.
