Profile of homeopathic patients in a pediatric private practice

Resumo


Homeopathy is a medical approach undergoing increasing spread among children worldwide. The present study, conducted from July 2015 to May 2016, sought to assess the profile of children cared at a homeopathic pediatric private practice. A total of 135 children, predominantly girls, were seen along the study period. The main reasons for parents to seek a homeopathic pediatrician were: desire for more natural medication and desire for homeopathic pediatric care for prevention of recurrent and chronic infections unsuccessfully treated with conventional medicine.
